Inquiry into metalanguage in American teenagers' personal blogs, collected from Mylol.net., reveals their repeated orientation to their peers’ Internet language and to orthography norms, sustaining many standard-language ideology facets and relating them with adolescent interests. Teens’ diverse language and technologically mediated communication stances require more detailed notice of youth voices and agency.
