Annotation

From a gender view, English and Spanish male and female newspaper journalists tend to respectively use conceptual metaphors to amplify and soothe negative descriptions, and to generate humor by other and self-deprecation. This is mainly regulated by culture-bound pragmatic factors (i. e. predilection for indirectness) and maxims (i. e. Modesty and Approbation).
