Annotation

This paper examines how an international group of Quechua speakers,-most of whom met diverse Quechua varieties for the first time as participants in a two-year bilingual-intercultural graduate program-, developed meta-linguistic talk and strategies to ease inter-variety communication. The paper also explores the effects of these strategies on language planning, language education, and the rise of a larger pan-Quechua identity.
