Annotation

The contrast between macro- and micro language teaching studies helps to better trace the link between Folk Linguistics and language teaching education, as language attitudes, as basic elements of speakers' language identity and their desire to acquire a novel language, directly and crucially affect mainly the macro view. A case study linked to an Italian Secondary School serves as an example.
