It is argued that the proposed multilingual shift has not occurred into L2 teaching contexts as language properties linked to monolingual nativeness are required in a lot of communicative conditions faced by L2 users. But traditional mono/multilingual and native/non-native contrasts can be remodeled to become real L2 classroom models.
