Annotation

It is argued that metaphors, remodeled in potent memes, adjust to and refashion a novel communicative niche. 144 metaphors listed in the study of 319 cartoons edited in the Germanwings air crash aftermath, are shown to develop over 2 weeks due to communicative niche alterations, getting more communicatively operative.
