Drawing on a corpus of diverse categories of Mao Zedong discourse (n=1,158), of two generated models, the one scaled at multitextual (vs. word) level best grasps human formality perception, employing genre (narrativity), discourse coherence, topic-linked words (like embodiment), and (positive and negative) emotion words.
