This paper proposes a Discourse-Historical-Contextual model to examine media discourse's transformation and recontextualization processes and applies it to the Peng Yu Case's First-Instance Verdict. It is explored why a text is read differently according to context, how intertextuality is shaped and how in the processes particular transformations are employed.
