Annotation

Biased American media's accent portrayals (of Standard American (SA), Nonstandard American (NSA), Foreign-Anglo (FA), and Foreign-Other (FO)) render acute societal stereotypes. NSA and FO speakers' television appearance is rare, and they are less propitiously depicted as to status-linked traits and looks.
