As Hebrew language ideology relates reading styles to ethnic identity and as the pharyngeal segment [ʕ] appears a more fit stylistic resource to enact Mizrahi (Middle Eastern) origin personae, it is proposed to regard word list reading as resource for Mizrahi ethnic identity execution.
