Coherence is explored as trait co-variation and linked to variation perception in Danish lects, which are perceived as coherent as some traits are hugely foregrounded, minimizing others. The data set covers 187 speakers from four sites from the very dialect-leveled Danish speech community (2005–2008), ordered by gender, generation and social class.
