Annotation
Two ample patterns appear in the Spanish of lenghty New York City (NYC) residents: reduced regional distinction and structural convergence with English. These trends turn up across many linguistic structure levels, showing syntactic, morphological, and phonological variation patterns. Contact-induced change is firmly structurally and socially restricted and pervaded with the nature of the whole to which it pertains.
