3- and 4 year-olds succeed in defining speaker certainty and personal familiarity (PF) indicators to value speaker trustiness. When opposed to PF, children's certain speaker impression was altered in 5-year-olds yet not in 3 year-olds. This age group contrast indicates that epistemic vigilance covers a set of varied elements, with distinct developmental timelines.
