A succinct (12-item) and work-linked Humor Styles Questionnaire (swHSQ), in an English and German version, seems an efficient self-report device for evaluation of individual wHS. Relationships patterns of negative styles point to intercultural wHS contrast. So self-destructive yet not hostile humor appears effective in the Austrian-German sample, whilst the opposite is true in the U.S. sample.
