Annotation

This cross-cultural study of classroom discord management in a 4th- and 6th-grade mainstream Israeli and UK class and a skilled student 5th-grade US class, underscores appearing culture-peculiar discursive patterns as teacher and students negotiate a sensitive balance between oft conflicting cultural and educational goals and norms.
