Collating a polytomous logistic regression model's Russian TRY verb choice prognoses with adult native speaker (NS) choices in the same 60 unseen sentences, it is argued that individual contrast in assessing contextual weight may affect linguistic knowledge of NSs. Impact on usage-based theory and empiric linguistic methodology is debated.
