Annotation

Most Puerto Rican universities display de facto open-language policies, enabling to teach in Spanish or in a Spanish-English blend, whilst employing textbooks mainly edited in English. This may be useful to bilingual students and professors, yet possibly harmful for students without bilingual academic language skills.
