Annotation

Incorporating Johns’ so-called kibitzing procedure (corpus-based metatalk with a foreign language expert fosters apprentice writer text revision) into a Weissensee TV series-based German course for French students, covered online debates centered on verb particles reckoned apposite to fulfill the writing task of devising a film script scene for this series. Using two writing aid corpora, student-teacher talk on language samples picked up in conformity lines or in first drafts, raised insight into the semantic intricacy of German verb particles, and into content-form connection.
