This case study of a language awareness workshop in a New York public school with a dual language (Spanish/English) program, taught basic personal information exchange to in-service teachers with restricted Spanish skills. It focused on one teachers' move from resistance to grasp of a novel language's role in learning by attending identity building dynamics.
