Annotation

This study traces North Korean refugee students' multilingual practices and ideologies interweaven with macro-level social structure power relations via the complex accord amid North and South Korean (SK), English and Chinese in the neoliberal SK context. English is taken as most potent language despite its limited use. SK is mostly used, given its socially supported status. NK appears as inner-circle language, which use negatively impacts spoken Chinese perception.
