The sole independent variables linked to a sense of difference felt by bi/multilinguals when code-switching, appear education level, age and esp. fear of L2/L3 phone and intercollegial talk. Some participants connected this sense to (un)conscious conduct changes, particular language use contexts, and changes over time.
