Annotation

Formal L2 study offers benefits to early bilinguals in L3 acquisition. Such training causes increased metalinguistic awareness, enabling students to productively learn structures divergent from their present linguistic repertoire. Typological similarity of before learnt languages does not notably add to L3 acquisition.
