Annotation

In-service teachers in one specific critical multicultural Singaporean classroom are shown to compartmentalize two sets of contending discourses in order to make critical discourses more acceptable to them: on the one hand, they confirm and support critical multicultural classroom discourses; on the other hand, they revert to State-determined discourses which drastically restrict multiculturalism to set conceptualization and use of race-founded pedagogy.
