Merging peace and cultural studies with discourse analysis, this paper examines the reply of Israeli most favored children's periodicals to two great peace incidents (Sadat's visit to Jerusalem in November 1977 and the Israeli–Egyptian peace convention subscribing in March 1979) in real time. It's contribution to peace inquiry consists in its power to elucidate how intergenerational discourse transfers peace legacy; it also centers on discursive ‘defects’ inserted in Israeli peace discourse.
