Annotation

Using an expanded face-negotiation theory, this cross-cultural collation of face, facework, and conflict style choice across intimate and nonintimate conflict situations, discloses that Ecuadorian and U.S. students are not dissimilar in their self-, other- and mutual-face worries, yet notably diverge in their choice of facework and conflict style over the two conflict situations.
