Annotation

This article bespeaks a “fifth moment” in the intercultural communication domain that re-examines current culture’s values, beliefs, and suppositions on human being in the world and the role of such in instigating today’s running worldwide ecological crises. Ethnoautobiography, a framework rooted in story and the indigenous paradigm, is used for this re-examination, which evokes grave questions on the default suppositions of a discipline nearly purely intrenched within modern culture and civilization's monocultural logic. Central problematics are raised, considered pivotal for renovating the discipline toward modern pertinence, ecological awareness, and liability.
