Annotation

This study examines how ethnolinguistic vitality and intergroup contact affect shifting stances and the zest to learn L2 Hungarian amid Slovak-speaking secondary school students in Southern Slovakia (N = 225). By and large, lower local Hungarian ethnolinguistic vitality reduced intergroup fear and raised the contact quality with Hungarian minority members, which induced a more positive behavior toward the Hungarian minority, and increased the zest to acquire Hungarian.
