Annotation

Ethnographic collective case study observation of three transnational Gorkha and immigrant Nepalese families in the U.K., explored the multiliteracy types immigrant and transnational pre-teens engaged in and whether these multiliteracies better allow constructive identity via intercultural capital. Also, the study afresh categorized three multiliteracy types pertinent for both transnational and immigrant pre-teens: global cultural, transnational, and peripheral ritualised multiliteracies. Findings disclosed that whilst pre-adolescent transnationals engaged in transnational cultural and globalized multiliteracies, immigrant pre-teens mainly participated in globalized multiliteracies.
