Annotation

This qualitative inquiry deals with identity management and relational culture in interfaith marital communication in a U.S. setting. Using identity management theory, three general themes were disclosed: interfaith relational identity evolution via the co-creation of a superordinate spiritual and value system; relational border execution to focus on relational identity; and recognition of crucial milestone decisions (i.e. marriage plans and children socialization coordination) interfaith partners meet in their intimate relationships.
