Annotation

Novel approaches favor a focus on individuals' ‘super- diverse’ language repertories (SDLR) and on novel ways of imagining ‘knowledge of a language’. Tools ought to be redesigned to adjust this novel approach to SDLR inquiry. This paper tries to produce principles and concepts for SDLR inquiry and to fit, practice and revise the fitness of two tools (a life history interview and a language repertory survey) tuned to this ‘novel approach’. The tools appear helpful and have the possibility to offer elaborate accounts of topical SDLR's. The type of descriptions thus created could add to the empirical and theoretical lucidity required to understand these intricate phenomena.
