This inquiry examines ethnolinguistic vitality amid Japanese-Brazilians (Nikkeis). It validates the interest of parental involvement and diverse social infrastructures that cause quality teacher training and community establishment. Key issues are: linguistic and cultural capital attributed to Japanese language and cultural knowledge, native-speaker myth perseverance, the intricate Nikkei constellation, and partnership defect between the Brazilian Government and Japanese-sponsored institutions. Native speaker supremacy assignation hinders Nikkei teacher training and hiring. It is vital to fix Brazilian-Japanese governmental partnerships to accomplish effective Japanese language education in Brazil and to further gather and disperse Nikkei teachers' voices to defy modern language teaching's directive discourse.
