Annotation

As a multicultural literature section, bilingual children’s picture books offer readers a particular chance to enlarge their perceptions and cognition of other cultures. 31 English/Chinese bilingual children’s picture books were explored on English and Chinese text quality features and the accordance of the English and Chinese texts. The findings propose that whereas the English text had no evident problems, the Chinese text missed quality. The Chinese text also seemed subservient when collating the two texts.
