Annotation

This paper argues that Timor-Leste’s multiscalar multilingual, mother-tongue-based literacy policy is a significant case that strenghtens the importance of mother tongue education as answer to global ravel. The pilot program offers precious lessons for many other parts of the world with akin problems, especially for nations with similar colonial histories.
