Annotation

Spanning the concepts of language/code switching and language context, the actual study explores language switching costs via a cued picture-naming experiment with changeful contexts or modes. The findings show that switch costs hinge upon both language dominance and language context, with asymmetrical costs uncovered in more monolingual modes and symmetrical costs hit upon in bilingual modes. Implications are reviewed as regards language mode and gradient repressive language choice mechanisms.
