Based on the idea that semantic aspects of language are those that can be related to truth conditions and pragmatic aspects are the ones that are concerned with conditions of use, L. proposes a 'meaning-as-use' conception for syntactic meanings (i.e. meanings of syntactic units such as sentences), arguing that syntactic meanings are all 'pragmatic'.
