Annotation

This inquiry employs conversation analysis to explore indirect reported speech (IRS) in storytelling, and handles its position, design and uses. Assay throws light on the use and design of reported speech in interaction and contributes to our knowledge of the way storytelling is framed and how movement between different segments is managed. The data stem from collections of English telephone calls recorded in the United Kingdom and United States.
