Annotation

This paper provides the first overview of the recent apparition of Tibetan Sign Language (TibSL) in Lhasa, capital of the Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR), China. Inquiry displays that TibSL appears to be between “severely” and “definitely” endangered, contributing to the existing studies on the widespread phenomenon of sign language endangerment.
