This paper proposes various heteroglossic expressions of language regimes. To this end, it will briefly debate a range of (socio) linguistic issues linked to the use of one of the chief Indigenous languages in Mexico – to wit, Mexicano (Nahuatl) – in its political, ideological and pragmatic domains.
