This commentary centers on three major themes: the role of mobility in the different ways in which transnationalism works; the significance of scale in grasping inconsistencies and disjunctions in the way language intersects with global, national and local mobilities; and the necessity to deconstruct the prioritization of the trans-national over other levels of inter-spatial connection.
