Annotation
This article employs the extended case method approach to examine how 12 ethno-cultural minorities in the Windsor-Essex region of southwestern Ontario mobilized business activities to create valuable interactions with local, national, and international networks that extended their chances for recognition and equal rights in Canada’s social, cultural, and political spheres. Drawing on Foucault’s theoretical work, the key importance of business formation as sites and methods for cultural maintenance, inclusion, and community evolvement were distinguished.
