Annotation

This paper employed conversation analysis to explore relevant issues in relation to the practitioner–family interactions that take place within the initial autism spectrum disorder evaluation context. It appears that parents typically first raise the possibility of the presence of an autism spectrum disorder diagnosis via ‘building a case’, which professionals were then capable to confirm or negate.
