Annotation

This paper presents corpus analyses to discover mediation participants’ discourse strategies and point out the role and function of a meta-discourse element – the verb ‘to say’. This paper is a first step towards the elaboration of a taxonomy for the assay of argumentative meta-discourse and brings novel insights into meta-discourse in argumentative dialogues and mediation discourse in general.
