Annotation

Recent inquiry on persuasion has examined the utility of incorporating alternative emotional appeals within a fear-appeal framework to attain persuasive outcomes. This study evolves and evaluates a hybrid guilt-fear message to raise human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination intentions and compares it to a standard fear appeal. An online experiment amid men and women of vaccination age (N = 407) was conducted.
