Annotation

This paper uses findings of interactional linguistics, conversation analysis, and linked multimodal searches to resume what is known about the grammar-body interface. It asks for a reconceptualization of grammar as a rally of routinized plans for vocal behavior organization, able of including facets of partakers’ bodily conduct. Data are in French, German, Italian, Swedish, Estonian and Japanese.
