This paper handles assessments employed in third position to get replies to queries. It states that partakers discern two assessment kinds: evaluative and deontic ones. By assuming a certain stance in third position, speakers show their grasp of what the reply was doing and can actively impute an action to it. They thereby frame and assert intersubjectivity's architecture. Data are in Dutch with English translations.
