This paper centers on type-conforming answers to yes/no questions as responsive actions in interaction. Affirming or disavowing responsive actions are multimodally reached. Lexical/prosodic verbal resources and bodily-visual resources happen in synchrony. Such multimodal actions constitute self-contained ‘units’ or ‘response packages’. These ‘response packages’ rely on space, mobility, stance and involved objects.
