A systematic evidential commitment of direct experience is found in estar +ILP structures. ILPs fail to meet the spatio-temporal anchoring needs of estar. The extant mismatch is settled by deducing an information acquisition situation. Combinations including feature mismatches elicit enriched interpretations. The ILP/SLP contrast and the ser/estar contrast are autonomous.
