Annotation

This article unites conversation analysis and experimental psychology to measure effect of pragmatic knowledge upon real-time language processing. Subjects' self-paced reading performance was in accordance with CA-deduced meanings. Discourse-length utterances were successfully employed as experimental stimuli.
