Annotation

Study of descriptions of pictures whose elements varied along the pragmatic dimension of givenness vs. newness, by child and adult speakers of English, Hungarian and Italian. Devices analyzed were ellipsis, pronominalization, emphatic stress, indefinite articles and initialization.
