Annotation

Translating Italian idioms into English may induce false phraseological Anglicisms, current phenomena typical of the Italian language. These phenomena may be viewed as macaroni English instances. Their idiomaticity makes them polysemantic. Illocutionary uses validate their pragmatic strikingness.
